Greg MercerJanuary 5, 2017Amazon Policies, email best practices8 CommentsWe Amazon sellers have all been through the end of incentivized reviews together and shared our thoughts, worries and experiences during this change which happened back in October 2016. I have already shared some of my thoughts on the matter, and been open about the fact that change is good, and that we should embrace the opportunity this brings to business owners.
But what about strategies for moving forward. How do we continue to get (important) reviews, without incentivizing our customers. We asked Ivan Kreimer, an ecommerce business owner, ex online marketing consultant and content marketer to share his thoughts. This change came after a study by ReviewMeta discovered, among other things, that incentivized reviews on average rated the product.
These findings were no surprise. There were already many industry experts that were complaining about this problem and were asking for a solution. They needed to fix this, or else, their business would be affected.
Their decision to stop allowing incentivized customer reviews cut through this problem, and will probably help Amazon get back on track. We loved the train travel. Scenery magnificent - waterfalls, mountains, snow, fjords, valleys, Flam railway. Comfort class worth the extra cost.
A once in a lifetime trip for us. We will treasure our memories (and photos). Thanks for helping us to achieve a wonderful holiday. I cannot rate this tour highly enough. Nordic Visitor was recommended to me by my travel agent (a personal friend) who had received very good reports from another client. I will most certainly advise her that it more than lived up to my expectations. Please pass on my thanks to Sara. If it had been possible, I would have liked to do that myself while in Norway.
Our travel agent was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. She helped us book a meal on our cruise in advance, she sent us our travel vouchers in email and had them ready for us at our first hotel, she was constantly updating us as things were booked and finalized.
We had a wonderful experience largely in part due to having accommodations and trains booked for us in advance. It was a great relief not having to worry about that. Line was an excellent guide. She was kind and thoughtful. Line was also well organized regarding tickets and getting us where we needed to be. The small group (9 of us) was perfect and made the trip more enjoyable than being in a herd of people.
I loved everything about the trip. We did the South Iceland at Leisure tour and the planning attention to detail that Erla put together for our trip made for a great experience. Everything exceeded our expectations, including the gentleman that picked us up at the airport. Nordic Visitor provided my family with an unbelievable first trip to Iceland. All of the communication with our travel advisor, Helga, beforehand was impeccable and so thorough.
Every step of our journey was so well thought out and perfectly timed. They made driving through the South of Iceland so comfortable, especially with a nine year old. Their recommendations of how to time everything was perfectly planned and we really felt that we got to see so much in a relaxed way in just 6 days. I will recommend this company to everyone and hope to go back to Iceland again and possibly Norway with their help.
I have always wanted to visit Iceland for the geology and scenery. I had the chance to go with my grown-up daughter for a week and we booked with Nordic Visitor as they offer such a great range of trips and activities.
The attention to detail was exceptional. All our chosen activities were fitted into the basic tour including horse riding, Blue Lagoon, glacier walking and whale-watching. Vouchers for car hire, accommodation and all activities were arranged in order of use, so were super easy to use.
We also explored a little outside the itinerary, by asking the local Icelanders for recommendations, and by doing this found some hidden gems, like the Soil Conservation Association, and a wreck of an American Navy DC-3.How does one tell the odds of 2.

The Guesthouse Sunna was great with excellent breakfast, a very nice apartment, perfect location, and great assistance from the service desk. All of them stop for breaks and food several times throughout and the guides were talkative and knowledgeable.
The food in Iceland is the best, by the way. I have nothing but great memories of this trip and recommend Nordic Visitor to my friends without hesitation. Overall, this has been one of the top vacation experiences in my life. I felt that Solveig and Nordic Visitor took excellent care of me and my granddaughter and made our trip relaxing and enjoyable. I could not have planned this so well.
The reliability of tour guides, the drivers being on time when they were expected, and having someone available at Nordic Visitor when I needed to make a change was reassuring and so valuable. We plan to call Nordic Visitor again within the next couple of years for a return trip.
The map provided by Nordic Visitor was a fantastic resource. Then, our booked excursions and points of interest along the way were marked in orange, with written details added at the side. This made it easy for use to reach our excursions at the right times and directed us to great places for homemade ice-cream, lobster dinner, and scenic delights. I can't say enough good things about our experience with Nordic Visitor. They thought of everything beforehand--as a result, I had a stress-free, fun-filled vacation with no negative surprises.
It was the perfect blend of independence, comforts through great accommodations in easy locations, and the help of getting to and from the airport was super. Just enough to take away the hassles and give me time to enjoy the location and adventure.
Would not change a single thing. Our guide Christina was very knowledgable of culture and history. Lots of old sagas.
